Board with LED battery indicator and BIVERT for GameBoy Pocket
Board that allows you to add a battery indicator LED for those GameBoy Pockets that lack it, and also adds BIVERT for the backlit screen mod with BIVERT.
The LED lights up and dims as the batteries run out, like on GameBoy Pockets that do come standard with a battery indicator.
The BIVERT inverts the display image values to add more contrast when backlit display mod is done.
It's no compatible with Gameboy Pocket which already have battery LED indicator.
Easy installation, just follow these steps:
1- Remove the six screws and remove the back cover of the console.
2- Remove the 3 screws that hold the motherboard, disconnect the screen cable and remove it from the casing.
3- Cut two tracks of the motherboard that go from the CPU to the screen connector for the BIVERT mod, see third photo of the ad.
4- Place the board with LED on the motherboard of the console according to the second photo of the ad, making sure that the LED matches a hole in the motherboard and the marks on the board with the pins of the CPU and the screen connector, to align them correctly.
5- Solder the 7 points to the motherboard: VCC, VDD and GND, the 2 points of the CPU pins and the two points of the screen connector pins, maintaining the alignment of the board.
6- Make sure that there are no short circuits between the solders with a multimeter, especially in the pins of the CPU and the screen connector.
If you want to use the same case that the console had, you have to follow these steps:
1- On the front casing there is a support part that coincides with the hole in the motherboard where the LED goes, located at the same point as the battery indicator. Cut off the support and drill a 3mm diameter hole in its place.
2- Remove the screen protector and replace it with one with the window for the battery indicator (must be purchased separately).
3- Assemble all the parts of the console in the reverse order of disassembly.
It is also possible to purchase a replacement case for the console that is already prepared for the battery indicator.
The mod consists only of the board with the necessary components.
This mod is only for Gameboy Pocket WITHOUT battery indicator.

Placa con LED indicador de batería y BIVERT para GameBoy Pocket
Placa que permite añadir un LED indicador de batería para aquellas GameBoy Pocket que carecen de él, y además añade BIVERT para el mod de pantala retroiluminada con BIVERT.
El LED se ilumina y baja su intensidad conforme se agotan las pilas, como en las GameBoy Pocket que sí vienen de serie con el indicador de batería.
El BIVERT invierte los valores de la imagen de la pantalla para añadir más contraste cuando se hace el mod de pantalla retroiluminada.
No es compatible con Gamboy Pocket que ya tenga LED indicador de batería.
Fácil instalación, solo hay que seguir estos pasos:
1- Quitar los seis tornillos y retirar la tapa posterior de la consola.
2- Retirar los 3 tornillos que sujetan la placa base, desconectar el cable de la pantalla y retirarla de la carcasa.
3- Cortar dos pistas de la placa base que van desde la CPU hasta el conector de pantalla para el mod BIVERT, ver tercera foto del anuncio.
4- Colocar la placa con LED en la placa base de la consola según la segunda foto del anuncio, procurando que el LED coincida con un agujero de la placa base y las marcas de la placa con los pines de la CPU y el conector de pantalla, para alienarlos correctamente.
5- Soldar los 7 puntos a la placa base: VCC, VDD y GND, y los 2 puntos de los pines de la CPU y los dos puntos de los pines del conector de pantalla, manteniendo la alineación de la placa.
6- Asegurarse de que no existen cortocircuitos entre las soldaduras con un multimetro, especialmente en los pines de la CPU y el conector de pantalla.
Si se quiere usar la misma carcasa que tenía la consola, hay que seguir estos pasos:
1- En la carcasa frontal existe un tope que coincide con el agujero de la placa base donde va el LED, situado en el mismo punto que el indicador de batería. Cortar el tope y hacer un agujero de 3mm de diámetro en su lugar.
2- Retirar el protector de pantalla y sustituirlo por uno con la ventana para el indicador de batería (debe comprarse aparte).
3- Montar todas las piezas de la consola en el orden inverso del desmontaje.
También es posible adquirir un reemplazado de la carcasa de la consola que ya venga preparada para el indicador de batería.
El mod consta solo de la placa con los componentes necesarios.
Este mod es solo para Gameboy Pocket SIN indicador de batería.
