Why this mix is a favourite
- Bright mixed colours with that classic dark centre – stunning planted in groups.
- Spring flowering (timing depends on when you plant and the weather).
- Known as florist anemones – excellent cut flowers.
- Perfect for wedding-style bouquets, posies and vase displays.
- Great for beds & borders and also ideal for large pots/containers.
- Compact plants – brilliant for small gardens and “colour blocks”.
- You can extend the season by planting in batches (staggered planting = staggered blooms).
- Likes a sunny, sheltered spot and well-drained soil (avoid winter wet).
- After flowering, corms can be left to return or lifted, dried and stored for replanting.

Planting & care (quick guide)
- Soak corms in water overnight (or several hours) before planting.
- Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot (add grit on heavy soil).
- Plant around 5–8cm deep and 10–15cm apart.
- Water in after planting, then keep lightly moist while in growth – avoid waterlogging.
- After flowering, let foliage die back naturally. Lift & store dry, or leave in place if conditions are suitable.
Also known as: Poppy Anemone, Florist Anemone, Garden Anemone (Anemone coronaria).
Safety note: Anemone sap can irritate skin/eyes and may be harmful if eaten – handle with care and keep away from pets/children.
