Sammie Kescoli Begay Hidden Valley Spiderweb Turquoise Necklace and Dangle Earrings
Hidden Valley turquoise is among the rarest of all classic American turquoise. The claim was located somewhere in the Candelaria hills of north central Nevada. A glory hole was struck in the dead of night, excavated, covered up and abandoned. The few buckets found were slowly cut and disbursed over the next five decades. Only remnants are found today out of private collections. The nine perfectly matched natural gems in this fine necklace were collected in 1990s. They are a rich earthy hue of chocolate host rock matrix spiderwebs over a blue hue with tints of green. They are set in Sammie’s exquisite design with unique hand made bezels deeply chiseled out of ingot bordered with a layer of smooth petite droplets. Each section is separated and connected with deeply stamped ingot scallops attached to a fine hand made chain. The completed necklace is among the finest of Sammie’s long career.
