Age is the key to unlocking the signature taste of Mizunara, says Fukuyo, with a long maturation period resulting in a whisky that has a “spiciness and incense-like flavour of sandalwood and aloe wood”, which Suntory considers as the quintessential “Mizunara-ness”.

With just 1500 bottles released in Autumn 2017 to cover the whole world this is one of the most sought after and difficult to locate releases of 2017

Very elegant and said to contain Yamazaki single malt aged in Mizunara casks of upto 50 years old!

Packaged in a bespoke wooden box crafted from Ex-Yamazaki whisky casks.

Colour

Nose: Aromatic egg custard, sandalwood, incence sticks, baked banana's, milky rice pudding, fresh grassy barley.

Palate: A rich and silky delivery with almost a condensed coconut milk body, aromatic spices, notes of ripe banana, ginger, fresh barley and creme anglais (custard to you!).

Finish: Milky mocha, more aromatic spices (especially cinnamon) cedar wood, banana and vanilla fudge.
