Some wear/damage to spine and cover and some binding separation, particularly volume II.  This is a rare copy of this work by Charlotte Mary Yonge.  Patteson was an English Anglican bishop and martyr, who was a missionary to the South Seas beginning in 1855.  He became the first Bishop of Melanesia in 1861 and was killed in 1871 by natives on Nukapu, in the Solomon Islands.  He is commemorated in the Church of England on 20 September.  Free shipping.
