Hand carved and painted tribal mask from Nigeria's Igbo tribe. This mask is most likely from the mid 20th century. It is in good condition and the mouth opens and closes.  The string that holds the "wings" onto the mask are in good shape. (The stand is just something I rigged to hold the mask upright, but it works and looks pretty good.) I have owned this mask since 1996.
