Non-adhesivefoam replacement for mirror damper / prism & internal housing. There are three grades (Soft, Medium, and Firm) and two thicknesses (3mm and 5mm) to accommodate a wide range of applications. Choose the appropriate grade to achieve the best balance of impact absorption and bearing capacity.
Remark: There is no adhesion layer on this foam. Use the correct type of adhesive to avoid corroding the parts, especially when using it as a prism cushion foam.
It takes time and patience to replace the camera foam. To assist with the removal of deteriorated seals, we recommend our CLEANING STICK (PBL-TOOL-OTH-7) and SHUTTER PROTECTIVE FILM (PBL-TOOL-OTH-1).To avoid damaging the paintwork or coating, avoid using any metal instruments. Do not pour liquid/solvents into the camera. Use cloths or kitchen towels as the medium. Before applying the new foam, remove all of the old foam and sticky residue. When removing foam from the prism housing and surrounding area, use extreme caution. Avoid contact with the prism; otherwise, you may damage the prism's silver coating.
This foam is not suitable for light seal replacement. For light seal replacement, please use our SELF-ADHESIVE LIGHT SEAL FOAM (PBL-TOOL-LSXX) or NON-ADHESIVE LIGHT SEAL FOAM (PBL-TOOL-LSXXN)
