My bags are the antidote to the poly-lined synthetic leather run-of-the-mill bags being produced in China. Most of my bags are full-grain leather; Artisan craft, with authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high-grade men's belts for shoulder straps. This leather is reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps. I also use half-centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character stand out and stands the test of a truly rugged lifestyle. Invest in a bag that you'll love more and more over time. Not all leather bags are created the same. A great quality leather bag is supposed to look better with time as the leather acquires marks and age-related wear. Make sure to check out my whole store. At the time of this listing, I have 180 items all unique and different. Many with added Mooseskin handles; my "trademark" unique idea. Once you have tried it you will wonder how you functioned before without an inside handle. Also on many of my briefcases, I add a mooseskin handle wrap. The handle is the point of contact that the owner has with their bag and the mooseskin is so pleasing to touch. My philosophy in writing descriptions is: a picture speaks 1000 words. My Modifications: Reconstructed the handle and mounts for the handle with Moose Skin leather and pounded copper rivets to make it last a lifetime. I used the original handle and wrapped it with the Moose. The handle really is pleasing to hold and adds heirloom quality to the list of unusual characteristics: elephant wrinkle embossed leather, extra large interior main pocket, the distressed character of the leather, Touring Brass clips, GUSUM brass zipper, and open-faced vintage luggage tag. I have a small collection of vintage luggage tags and this one matched perfectly.
The usual part of a bag of this age (I place it in the 1950s --- so 70+ years old), is that the handle will deteriorate and then the stitching. I made the handle "a thing of beauty" and then I used heavy 100% polyester Gutermann thread to strengthen up the bottom seams. It is a timely process but the result is a bag that will last a lifetime and likely your kid's lifetime too. Additionally, I used pounded copper rivets and Moose leather to strengthen up the seam that gets the most wear; the flap seam. If you are not familiar with pounded copper rivets, they are a really old-school re-enforcement that is next to impossible to remove. I used Moose leather washers to create even more durability.

What I really like about this case is the unique large size. It also has a zipper pocket and a slip pocket and two front pockets behind the clips. One more addition I made to this bag; I added deerskin patches on the backside of the brass clip receivers as on these old bags they have exposed metal which does not "play nice" with our iPhones. Now there is not worry of having a scratched screen if you put your iPhone in these pockets.
The measurements in inches are approximately: 18W x 13H (not including the handle) x 5D (not including the front pockets)
As show in the photos: This bag fits my mock-up wooden laptop-board with measurements of 9 1/2" by 15 1/8" by 3/4 ". It will fit a much larger laptop so please contact me if you want me to measure for your specific laptop.
This bag has the true vintage look which is so popular today. It says without saying anything that you like quality and are not afraid to be different. I imagine a CEO / business professional who appreciates the vintage look taking this to a meeting with clients. It is sure to get comments and compliments. It is unlined leather; this is very rare these days. It is really rare to find a bag at upscale retailers that is unlined. In my opinion; unlined is so much better and lasts so much longer I guess which in this case is obvious.
I have this listed as a Men's bag but any woman who appreciates rugged leather goods could make this work for that perfect rugged look.
