A limited number of models were produced by Corgi for Marks & Spencer and promoted as 'Trophy' models. They were supplied in a box with a display base, although they have invariably been lost now. The range comprised the Vanwall and BRM Racing Cars 150 and 152 and the three sports cars, Austin Healey, Triumph TR2 and MGA, 300, 301 and 302. Identical to the Corgi issue but finished in plated silver or gold and all models were fitted with the cast 'spoke-effect' wheels.

They are all quite scarce now, some more than others. The MGA is seldom seen and this is a nice example which I obtained from a fellow collector. It is now available as I have a slightly better edition for my own collection.

It has a good, bright finish, with very few of teh usual corrosion or wear marks these models get. The seats and grille have original red paint and the wheels are the cast type fitted to all the Trophy range. They are a little dull and I find this cast material difficult to brighten.

It has a replacement windscreen and needs to have a replacement steering wheel fitted.
