Classic Canadian Civil Ensign (unofficial), made in Canada (support Canadian textiles and commerce), 210 high tenacity denier nylon. Designed to honor our previous Canadian boat ensign for private boats and merchant ships. 

Rope and Toggle, 18" x 36" can be flown on 44" ensign staff approx. or from the rigging on a sail boat. This top quality flag will last 10 times longer than the cheap polyester ones with grommets. The proportions are in a 1:2 official Government of Canada proportion. The Canada Shipping Act, 64 (1) states that a Canadian vessel has the right to fly the Canadian flag. Upon the introduction to a new National Flag of Canada 15 Feb 1965 there was little effort to design a merchant ensign which is the normal practice for a commonwealth country to fly in a vessel.
