This bridge designed by Mortimer E. Cooley,spans picturesque pine River,halfway between Manistee and Cadillac. Erected in eighteen months at an aproximate cost of $280,000,000. It is 614 ft.in length and rises 73 ft. above water level. The center span alone is 300 feet long. This bridge was awarded first prize as the most beautiful bridge of its class constructed in 1936.
