This is a collection of poems by Seamus Heaney, which was the first of his works to directly reference the Troubles in Northern Ireland. This work is divided into two parts, with the first dealing with themes of the Greek myth of Antaeus, bog bodies, and Vikings, and the second detailing the tumultuous events in Northern Ireland.
Contents include 'Funeral Rites', 'Bog Queen', 'Kinship', 'Ocean's Love to Ireland', 'Hercules and Antaeus', and 'The Unacknowledged Legislator's Dream'.
Seamus Heaney (1939-2013) was an Irish poet, playwright and translator. He is best-known for works such as 'Death of a Naturalist', and received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995.

CONDITION
In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, very smart. Minimal edge wear to the extremities and the spine, with age-toning to the margins of boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
