Chelsea WWI Era Brass Ship’s Clock 6” Dial, Second Hand, Speed Adjustment On Face, Screw Bezel. Keeps excellent time, is extremely quiet, and comes with key, which I doubt came with this clock. Glass and bezel threads are also both in excellent condition. Dial mounting screws are good (not stripped). Dial measures 6” across and with glass screw on bezel measuring 7-1/4”. Bezel has screw holes for eight ship’s wheel handles which are NOT included. Some of the black paint on the numbers is missing, very little however.

There is a somewhat curious label on backside stating: MARKED BEHIND DIAL: “THE TOLEDO S. B.” I cannot locate said mark on behind the dial. There are a couple of very faint jeweler’s initials and dates on the works mounting plate, most recent being 11/1995.

SN 122950 dated 1915-19. Mounted with three screws on a wood base. I do not know why it was mounted in this fashion, but it was. Clock looks like it could easily be mounted facing the direction that seems more logical. There is a small chip and looks as though another chip has been glued back in place.
