DESCRIPTION

The enlarged fourth edition of English naturalist and writer of domestic science William Bernhardt Tegetmeier's study of the history and management of the pheasant.

With chapters dedicated to the management of pheasants both in preserves and in confinement, the diseases of the pheasant, and the adaptation of the pheasant to the aviary.

Illustrated with six colour plates, and numerous further plates and vignette illustrations. Collated, complete.

With four pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear, the bookplate of Forbes Liston to the front pastedown, and bookplate of Alan Thornton to the front free endpaper.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Front hinge starting, with board holding firm. Bookplates to front pastedown and front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting to first and last few leaves, tissue guards and pages surrounding plates, with pages otherwise clean and bright.
