Les Hauts de Canon La Gaffelière is Château Canon La Gaffelière's (Premier Grand Cru Classe) second wine. Their vineyards are farmed using 100% organic methods.

This "second" wine is elegant, very complex, rich, full-bodied, and balanced with extremely fine acidity and ultra-mature, fine, polished tannins. The flavor profile is typical right bank: plum, blackberry, vanilla, mineral, earth, oak, tobacco, pencil shavings, and cedar with a hint of licorice and cigar box. Young, but approachable. Will also age for a decade or more. Beef and game will, of course, match well.
