Here you have an extremely rare plate by The Hill Pottery, during the S. Alcock period, the pattern being the part that gives it the rarity is entitled 'Nuts' and depicts a squirrel on a branch surrounded by hazel nuts ( I must say it delights me ) and have kept one piece for myself.
Being so unusual it will always draw the eye and surely be a talking point piece, It will be ideal in any part of a country house / cottage or Victorian building, and will display with pride.
The condition is exceptional, no chips, cracks, it does have very light crazing mainly underside, and no real signs of usage, some very worn gold gilt around the rim. It measures 26.5 cm in diameter, and a base diameter of 16.5 cm, with a depth of 2.5 cm.
I hope that the images and information above give you all you need to know about this Wonderful Decorative and Historical Piece.
