The name that is on the ffep is Walter Wolfe.  Dr. Walter Wolfe was a famous cardiothoracic surgeon who practiced at Duke University.  He also rose to be the Professor of Surgery and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University.  This book was purchased from his estate.

As a bonus there is a photocopied article laid in titled "A Study of Changes in the Roentgenogram of the Chest in Experimental Pulmonary Embolism" by Walter C. Wolfe and David C. Sabiston Jr.  The source publication is not stated in this article.
