Spokes - How often to check and tighten

• New wheels: Check for loose spokes after the first Rides, You may need to make minor adjustments during this period as the components settle. We would recommend you check the spokes after every ride, especially for wheels used in demanding conditions.

How to check spoke tension

• The "tap test": Lift the wheel and tap each spoke with a small wrench or screwdriver.
• A loose spoke will sound dull or thud-like.
• A properly tensioned spoke will make a consistent, high-pitched ringing sound.
• The squeeze test: You can also try squeezing two spokes together with your fingers. They should feel firm and not easily pushed towards each other.
• Professional tools: For a more precise measurement, you can use a spoke tension meter.
