Intake hose with filter

Our technical advice for air supply:
1. Increased operating noise from the compressor is often also caused by a malfunctioning mounting of the compressor.
Be sure to also replace the rubber bushings and springs of the suspension.
2. A porous intake hose is often the cause of compressor failure.
Replace this and ideally the filter/silencer at the same time.
We don't want the new compressor to fail prematurely for this reason.
3. Replace the working relay before installing the compressor, even if it still appears to be working.
This is also a mandatory requirement of the car manufacturer.
Make sure you replace the correct relay. Relays look similar, so there's a high risk of replacing the wrong one.
4. After the repair, make sure the system is completely sealed.
The simplest way to determine this is to park the vehicle and wait for the system to automatically readjust (if your vehicle has this function).
Measure and record all air-assisted heights from the ground to the bottom edge of the fender. Check and compare these heights the following day.
Even a small deviation in the distances will eventually lead to damage to the compressor and the valves.

If you have been driving with a leaking suspension for some time, it can be assumed that the compressor runs more often than normal.
This increased number of on/off cycles may have already damaged the compressor.
Depending on how long this condition has persisted, you should proactively replace the relay and check the compressor's performance.
After the car has been parked overnight, the compressor should not run for longer than 20 to 30 seconds before the system is ready to start again.
