Description
This air spring strut 4E0616002 for the Audi A8 Type D3/4E corresponds both technically and visually to the original Audi CDC damper.
Save on repair costs and avoid further complications by getting a shock absorber that is delivered exactly as it was from Audi.
This air spring strut is completed, filled with gas and tested at Miessler Automotive.
It is therefore prepared for easy direct installation.
If the offer does not include an air expansion tank, you must be aware that the old tank you have to reuse may be leaky.
The problem with offers that do not include an expansion tank is that you have to replace both sides to achieve the same spring comfort.
- Active inner valve in the shock absorber.
This means that this shock absorber actively responds to the driving comfort you choose.
You will receive an air spring damper with CDC damping function (continuous damping control).
Hydraulic shock absorber, with internal valve.
Fed by a complex sensor system, the control unit changes its functionality
-depending on the surface of the road,
-depending on driving style,
-depending on the mode of the "Drive Select" driving dynamics system.

Danger:
-Never lower the vehicle with empty air springs!
-Check the air suspension system for leaks.
-After the repair, make sure that the system is completely leak-proof.
The easiest way to determine this is to park the vehicle and wait for the system to automatically adjust, if your vehicle has this feature. Measure and note all air-assisted heights from the ground to the bottom edge of the fender. Check and compare these heights the next day.
Even a small deviation in the distances will lead to damage to the compressor and the valves in the long run.
