Mercedes 638 emergency kit for external filling of the air springs

Description

In the event of a complete failure of your air suspension, the emergency set can be connected directly to the pressure hoses of the air springs.
With the car valve on the other side, the air springs can be filled with approx. 6 bar at any truck gas station.

Your vehicle's air suspension (ENR) can fail completely.
With the emergency kit you can drive to the nearest workshop without outside help.
If your system is airtight, you can even continue driving for several days without loading or unloading.

ATTENTION: However, you should not use the emergency kit in the long term, as the control mechanism for pumping up and lowering the vehicle is bypassed and the air springs can be damaged.
The main causes of a defective compressor are leaks in the system where air moisture could penetrate.
If the dryer is saturated, the liquid penetrates into the compressor and damages it through corrosion or, in winter, through ice formation.
A leaky system can be recognized by the fact that the compressor works unnecessarily often or for a very long time.
The system should be able to hold the air supply for a week without re-pumping.
