Description

Miessler Automotive® - Compressor for the air suspension of the Porsche Macan (95B).

The included suspension elements for the compressor prevent increased vibration noise.

Miessler Automotive has been supplying spare parts for the air suspension of passenger cars, SUVs and light commercial vehicles since 2003.
After a development phase of 2 years, we can now offer this own, technically sophisticated air compressor.

We would be happy to provide you with an offer for diagnosis and installation (repair) in our own workshop.
Please contact us by clicking on the button: "Question about the product".

Can be installed in the following vehicles:
Porsche Macan (95B) 2014--

Scope of delivery:
compressor
relay
Wear parts from fastening kit

Warranty only when using a new relay!
The relay must be replaced at the same time as the compressor is changed.

Danger !!!
The vehicle suspension is based on a combination of electronically controlled level control and bellows filled with nitrogen 5 or CO2.
The gas pressure in the system MUST be built up again after replacing any spare parts (such as compressor, valve, air spring and/or suspension strut) in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
The compressor is NOT used to refill the system at this point.
These Continental compressors, or the corresponding Miessler Automotive aftermarket compressors, are used exclusively for pressure equalization in a closed system.
If you do not follow the vehicle manufacturer's installation instructions, the compressor can quickly become damaged, which will lead to the loss of the warranty.

Completely draining the system is the general requirement of the car manufacturer when repairing the suspension system.
After replacing the corresponding spare part, the system MUST be refilled with CO2 or nitrogen 5 according to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
This can only be done with appropriate software and special tools.
Only then can you start further steps, such as calibration or commissioning of the level control.

Advantages:
- Documented quality assurance (Quality management in the automotive industry IATF-16949) by the manufacturer
- Final assembly*, as well as additional final inspection is carried out at Miessler Automotive, Germany.
- Long-term tested (300h)
- Long-term corrosion test (720h salt spray according to DIN 50021-SS)
- Form and function resistance test at 110°C for 1h
- Suitable for operation at an ambient temperature of -40°C to 80°C (t3 min. = 100°C)
- IP protection class: IP6K6/IP6K7K with attached contact
*(required for certain models and for air supply systems)

Before purchasing a compressor, please consider the following:
The most common reason for a defective compressor is a leak in the system, which causes the compressor to run too long and too often.
A disproportionate number of switching cycles leads to premature sticking of the relay contacts.
This means the relay no longer has any function.
The result is a continuous current on the compressor.
The compressor runs continuously without control until it burns out.
Before a new compressor is installed, all reasons why it was damaged must be completely eliminated.

Regarding leaks:
A leak can occur in many places, such as:
- Porous or damaged air springs or air spring components (shock absorber)
- Worn seals, defective compressed air connections and frayed compressed air hoses
- Leaking housings in components such as compressor, valves, air springs or struts.

Every air suspension system is vulnerable in this way.
Therefore, follow our advice to avoid having to make further repairs in the near future.
.

Our technical advice for air supply:
1. Increased running noise of the compressor is often caused by a non-functional suspension of the same.
Be sure to also change the suspension rubbers and springs.
2. A porous intake hose is often the cause of compressor failure.
Change this and, if possible, the filter/silencer at the same time.
We don't want the new compressor to fail prematurely for this reason.
3. Replace the working relay before installing the compressor, even if it still appears to be functional.
This is also a mandatory requirement of the car manufacturer.
Make sure you're replacing the correct relay. Relays are similar, and there's a high risk of replacing the wrong relay.
4. After the repair, make sure that the system is completely leak-proof.
The easiest way to determine this is to park the vehicle and wait for the system to automatically adjust (if your vehicle has this feature). Measure and record all air-assisted heights, from the ground to the bottom edge of the fender, precisely. Check and compare these heights the next day.
Even a small deviation in the distances will lead to damage to the compressor and the valves in the long run.

If you've been driving with a leaking undercarriage for some time, it's likely that the compressor is running more frequently than normal. This increased number of on-off cycles may have already damaged the compressor. Depending on how long this condition has persisted, you should replace the relay as a precaution and check the compressor's performance. A compressor should not run for more than 20 to 30 seconds after the car has been parked overnight until the system is ready to restart.
