** VERY RARE** c.1897 WILEMAN/PRE-SHELLEY QUEEN VICTORIA CRESTED MILK JUG & BOWL
THIS VERY RARE PAIR WAS PURCHASED AS A GIFT FOR GRANDMOTHER WHO WAS AN AVID WILEMAN/SHELLEY COLLECTOR BUT IS NOW DOWNSIZING AND IT HAS BEEN SAT IN THE LOFT FOR A WHILE AND NOW SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENTS.
It is a very rare milk jug and sugar bowl with the Queen Victoria 60 year diamond Jubilee crest.
Small Dainty Scalloped White Jug, with commemorative artwork.
It is 9 cm tall and 6.5cm around the neck at its widest point.
The sugar bowl is 5.5cm tall and 10cm diameter.
The milk jug is perfect condition with no cracks chips or crazing, however the sugar bowl has a 2cm hairline crack as shown in the photo, however the rest of the condition is very good with no chips or crazing and the gilt edging on both is very clear.

On the reverse side of both items there is a pink rose and thistle design.
Around each rim of the milk jug and sugar bowl is very distinct gold gilt edging.
The backstamp on the base shows the clear Wileman stamp with the words The Foley China, England Rd 290929
This piece is over 122 years old and is good condition for its age,
