You can easily diagnose the failure and check the secondary voltage without removing 
the magneto device from the engine.
The condition of the ignition coil is good if the wiring is done as shown in the installation drawing, 
the knob is set to 6 mm and the engine is started. You can make a diagnosis in a few minutes.
With the engine running, turn the knob and you can see the voltage generated by the ignition coil 
by the distance of the spark gap.
