DESCRIPTION

A very scarce first edition of this work. A collection of humorous ballads relating to war, reflecting the transition of the post war army of 1919 to the pre-war army of 1939. Poems concern majors, generals, jocks, bands, cavalry, infantry, tanks, and more. Published in Bombay, written by P. J. Power and M. R. Dumville. Complete with its unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated throughout with fitting line drawings.


CONDITION

In the original binding over illustrated paper covered boards. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. The dust wrapper is unclipped and sound, with minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, light soiling to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with line drawings throughout.
