This rest is made from glass reinforced nylon for strength & reliability, NOT just injection moulded recycled plastic (old pop bottles)
This rest/rod holder comes with 3 mounting brackets, allowing the purchaser the choice of mounting it flush on the inside/outside of the hull of the boat/Kayak,( picture 4) or letting a mount "in" to the gunwales of the boat body of the Kayak (see picture 5) or the third option of combining two of the brackets (see picture 6) & fixing the rest/holder to your safety rails.
With the addition of 4 wing nuts in place of normal nuts you can fix these rests to rails of your chosen charter boat for the day. (nuts & bolts not supplied by us, but thousands for sale on ebay)
The rest/holder is also fitted with a "twist lock" to hold the rod firmly in place when trolling (see pictures 7 & 8).
There are cheaper out there, but this one is one of the the best we've come across, with all the safety features & extra brackets included.
