Materials

4 ply yarn (choose something with a littlewool in it or ideally merino wool)

knitting needles size 3.25mm/10UK/3USA

darning needle to sew the seam

 

You will need to be able to cast on, knit, purland knit two stitches together to make a decrease.

 

The tension is 28 stitches and 36 rows, to10 x 10 cm, over stocking stitch, using 3.25mm needles This makes the hat about31.5 cm diameter, (roughly 12 ins) and suitable for a baby with an average sizehead age 0-3 months.
