This postcard has an image of the south side of this building which includes a wrought iron fence. There are gorgeous supports for the small porch and columns, that are fashioned as large leaves.
ON THE BANK: "Owens Thomas House, 1816, Savannah Georgia. William Jay, architect. Now a house Museum, 124 Abercorn Street. This iron balcony, south side showing the acanthus leaf supports, is said to be the site of the Marquis de Lafayette's address to the citizens in 1824."
