3 Arnold J. Toynbee Books

Titles included:

1. "An Historian's Approach to Religion", Based on Gifford Lectures delivered in the University of Edinburgh in the years 1952 and 1953 by AJT, Oxford University Press, 1956. First edition, hardcover with dust jacket which is in usable condition. The book is in a very nice, clean condition. There is a previous owner's impression on the first page (see photo 7, bottom left of the left page). The spine is tight and straight, the covers are not loose and the corners are square, but show minor wear. There is a small, 3/8", label from "The Book Worm", in Carmel. Overall the book's condition is very good with an acceptable dust jacket. 

2. "The Intent of Toynbee's History: A cooperative appraisal", Ed. by Edward T. Gargan, preface by A J Toynbee, Loyola University Press, Chicago, 1961. First edition, hardcover with dust jacket. There is a 1/2" tear in the top left, front dust jacket. The book appears as though it has never been used. The book is in excellent condition with a good dust jacket.

3. "Between Oxus and Jumna", Oxford University Press, 1961. First edition, hardcover with dust jacket. The dust jacket is in very nice condition and shows minor wear. The book is in very nice, straight condition. The covers are tight and straight. The corners square. It appears this unmarked copy has had very little use. The book is in fine condition with a very nice dust jacket.
