Vintage 1940's L.M. Cox Thimble Drome Special Metal Tether Race Car 'No Engine'

Up for your consideration is an original 1940's L.M. Cox Thimble Drome Special Metal Tether Race Car. Please note that this item is a 'push type' racer and it is not motorized. Inspection notes that the vehicle is lightly used based on the lack of any dents, dings, etc. on the body as well as the tread condition of the tires.  The green base paint on the body appears to be original with the red accent paint and numbering likely being added at a later time. Overall the paint has a few obvious scuffs & scratches, but no major damage. Exhaust piping on the right side shows no wear, dents, dings, rust, or corrosion. Just some patina that comes with age. See photos for more detail regarding item's overall condition. Dimensions - Length 8 1/2" x Width 4" x Height 3". 

This vehicle, as previously stated, is a roller, no connectors, engine, and original packaging are included. Original Tether racers are highly sought after, therefore this would be a great addition to any automotive display or collection.
