While this card is being priced and sold as a “near mint or better card”, and it is not being priced/sold as “gem mint”, which sell at a significant premium, I offer the following additional opinion/info on the card’s condition to assist you with your purchase consideration:

This card appears to be in Excellent overall condition with NO material flaws apparent in my naked-eye review. The refractor foil surface appears remarkably clean and smooth w/ no material scratches, scuffs, dings or printing lines. Importantly, at a minimum this card does not have any significant or problematic marks on its surface and I sincerely believe its surface is cleaner than the average 2017 Elite Extra SP parallel card. The Edges/corners also appear in great overall condition, i.e., sharp, smooth and without chipping or overt material wear . The Centering looks fine. The only blemish of any kind that I saw in my review, ie., some extremely limited and barely noticeable color loss on the back, upper right corner, is surely quite insignificant especially relative to the otherwise superb overall condition of the card.

In short, I believe this card surely is at least in average overall condition with respect to 2017 Elite Extra parallel cards. Indeed, for what it’s worth, I believe it is better than average overall condition and actually could be a strong candidate for professional grading, something that I do not do myself..

In sum, this excellent SSP auto card of Gore, one of the very best young pitchers in all of baseball who clearly is living up to his superstar potential so far in the Majors as the leading NL ROY candidate, is a very collectible card. Indeed, it is one the earliest (from the 1st Panini set to include a Gore card) and very best prospect cards available of Gore; it would be a great addition to any collection and a highlight of any Gore/Padres’ collection.

However, if interested, I sincerely suggest not delaying as Gore’s SP prospect cards are in heavy demand and increasingly hard to obtain, and accordingly, they are quickly increasing in value and selling out fast. Indeed at the time of this posting, only a only one other of these Gore /25 Elite Extra cards remain for sale on eBay and there none with a lower print run.
