Lot Of 10 Empty Vintage W.R. Paterson LTD Glasgow Govencroft Potteries Decanters.

I believe these are from the 1950s or 60s. They are in great condition with no cracks chips or major flaws. They are all empty so there is no alcohol in them. They are the full-size version of the book decanters measuring about 8 inches tall and about 5 inches wide and about 2 inches deep. The colors are fantastic and the labels are for the most part in great condition and very intact with no major rips tears or scrapes. As I said these look fantastic together. They are very hard to fine especially as a set like this. The lot includes the white book titled the spirit of England volume two which featured the Paterson’s deluxe London gin. Next is the light brown which is the spirit of Spain volume six cream sherry then there are two of the volume ones which are the spirit of Scotland scotch whiskey next is the spirit of France volume four French cognac next is the spirit of Denmark volume five Cherry Liqueur next is the spirit of Portugal volume two cream port next is the spirit of the Indies volume eight Jamaica rum next is the Spirit of Ireland volume three Irish whiskey and last is the spirit of Israel volume nine Alicante wine. The last one is the only one where part of the label has been removed on the binding of the porcelain book. Let me repeat all of these are empty and contain no alcohol they have been tried but you will get all of the beautiful books with their different colors and labeling and the caps that come with them. There is one That does not securely stay on the lid and that is the spirit of Spain but as long as the book sits upright it Stays put. All the rest the corks seem to be wedged well within the opening of the top of the book. Some of them have the state of Illinois series stickers on them and others have the Washington state liquor control board stickers on them and then there are other symbols and stickers on the books which were all original.
