Silver Nitrate 100% (anhydrous) 

Overview: Silver Nitrate, and inorganic compound commonly used as a precurser to other silver compounds. Biological uses include silver staining in histology, which demonstrates reticular fibers, proteins and nucleic acids or as a stain in scanning electron microscopy. Preparation of 0.1N Standard Solutions: Measure approx 16.98 grams of 100% Silver Nitrate and add to a volumetric flask. Then add 500ML of distilled or deinised water and mix by swirling the flask unitl the solution has been dissolved completely. Next add another 500ML of distilled or deinised water and swirl the flask to complete the preparation.
