It comes with a 9 Volt power supply but it's not the correct one to use. It does NOT stay tight, meaning you either need your own power supply or you need to rig it so it stays tight and intact. It is ideal for professional and semi-professional VTRs / DDRs that support Sony 9-pin protocol (P2 protocol).
