A special signed 1st edition exclusive to Waterstones of the latest (standalone) novel from acclaimed American young adult fiction and fantasy author V.E. (Victoria) Schwab (best known for the books within her 'Villains' series and her 'Shades of Magic' series), as well as the full box contents of Illumicrate's sold-out March 2022 'A Life Of It's Own' box, which included a special (unsigned) version of the book plus other goodies.

The Waterstones edition is flat hand signed by V E Schwab at a special illustrated signature page, bound ahead of the half-title page.


In fine unread condition, although with some light indentation over and around the 'Signed by the author' roundel sticker on the front panel of the dustjacket, which has made it through to the front board.  Illustrated endpapers and white stencil design to all red-sprayed text block edges.


The special Illumicrate edition of the book has a different dustjacket design, a slightly different design to the front board, a different stencil design and different endpapers.  This is in fine unread condition - unusually for an Illumicrate box release, this book was not signed by the author (reasons unclear).
