Our custom-built Sankor single focusing anamorphic lens kits help filmmakers create a unique look with their DSLR or cinema camera by using their existing camera and lenses. These anamorphic lens kits are adaptable to virtually any camera by attaching to the front filter thread of your lens and transforming the image into cinematic anamorphic. KIT OPTIONS

Focus System: A Single focus kit focuses with the single focus unit alone! Dual focus means you have to set focus on both the prime lens and the anamorphic. Dual focus kits can be upgraded later by purchasing our single focus adapter

Lens Version: Red is sharper in the corners, and better image quality over Gold

Lens Coating: Original coating has less flares, removed coating has more flares

Superscope Option: you can add an detachable wide angle lens adapter to the end of your single focus, if you’d like to get a wider angle anamorphic image

Our anamorphic lenses are built to work on almost any DSLR available today. We have used anamorphic lenses on Super35 cameras, Red (Helium, Gemini, etc), Canon DSLR and C series, Panasonic GH5, GH4, Sony A7s, Black Magic Cameras, Olympus OMD, Fuji Medium Format, and several others.

WHICH CAMERAS & LENSES WILL WORK?

2x Anamorphic lenses result in the classic, compressed anamorphic look. This means that longer lenses are highly preferred, and may even be required to avoid vignetting. However, as anamorphic lenses double your field of view, the effect is essentially a wide lens with the bokeh and depth of a long lens.

For Micro 4/3 cameras, this anamorphic lens kit works best at 50mm and longer lenses. For full frame cameras like Sony A7, Canon, etc, 85mm or longer lenses are recommended. For medium format cameras, 110-135mm prime lenses are an effective length. Zoom lenses and speedboosters are not preferred.

HOW To attach

You must use an anamorphic lens clamp to attach this anamorphic to your camera setup. Our custom clamp is included in this listing. The seamless fit prevents any light leaks and does not use screws that damage your lens.

How does this compare to other anamorphic lenses?

The number of lenses that can focus with only one element (single focus) are highly rare and far more expensive. Other, dual-focus lenses also have soft corners, or do not work at apertures faster than f/4 or f/5.6. This lens has been built with a helicoid focus system that allows for a very compact setup- the sharpest, lightest single focus setup available.

This includes a 2x Sankor 16C anamorphic lens, base kit, and optionally, our custom single-focusing attachment, with a slim fit anamorphic lens clamp. This listing does not include the camera, the prime taking lens, or any other camera accessories. Some base lenses may have very minor cosmetic imperfections that do not detract from the professionalism of the lens. Optics are in pristine condition with no issues that affect optical performance. 1 year global warranty valid for lens defects and does not cover damage.

We ship USPS Priority mail same business day, before 2PM CST within the USA. We ship DHL for international customers outside the USA. Only the anamorphic lens is included in this listing, and no other gear that may appear in the listing pictures such as camera, taking lens, etc are included.
