Manufactured by Rosenthal in Germany, this is an original 1915 Rosenthal traditional Christmas plate. This porcelain plate is in excellent condition, and measures 8” in diameter. There are no cracks, chips, flakes or any other flaws.  The back of this original Christmas plate has holes for hanging. This is not a re-issued plate that has a plastic and metal hanger instead of two holes in the foot of the plate for hanging. The plate contains the Rosenthal logo and the word “handgemalt,” which means ‘hand painted.’ The masking tape was placed on the back of the plate simply to match the plate obverse with the plate reverse.

The photo is the actual plate.  Please excuse any glare in the photo, it is not a defect.
