An uncommon book generally, this is a rare example marked as a Presentation Copy of this volume which details a selection of the large number of masonic items held at Freemasons' Hall in London, as recounted by William Hammond F.S.A.

'Masonic Emblems & Jewels : Treasures at Freemasons' Hall, London ' published by George Philip and Son in London in 1917, 1st edition, 8vo clothbound volume (8.5in x 5.25in), (xii) + 91 pages.  Colour frontispiece plus a further 17 colour plates of aprons, coats of arms, jewels etc. on separate pages within; a further 42 b&w plates on unpaginated thicker pages between prelims and 1st page.

Original blue publisher cloth lettered and decorated in white to the front board and in faded white to the spine.  In overall good condition, tightly bound, worn spine ends and corners, a few bumps to edges, variety of stains and marks to the cloth, the book has a slight lean.

Internally in good to good+ condition, 'Presentation Copy' stamp at the title page, no ownership inscriptions, front and rear hinges are solid, small bookseller label at front pastedown.  Colour plates are clean and tidy, as are the b&w plates although a couple of pages have a dogeared corner.  The text pages are affected by very light, light or medium spotting throughout, several points of slight weakness/over-extension within the book.

** A solid example of this volume and the only one I have seen marked as a 'Presentation Copy'.  A standard copy of the book, in seemingly similar condition, recently sold on Ebay at £165 per this link  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174417157097?hash=item289c129be9:g:3yMAAOSwjJFfTiOp **

Multiple items - Please review my other listings to see if there are any other items which are of interest to you.  I will be pleased to provide a suitable invoice for combined postage cost for 2 or more items.  If you have won an item and intend to bid on any other items which end on different days, I would be grateful if you would drop me a message.

Postage – All of my books are triple wrapped for delivery to maximise their safety - firstly in bubble wrap protection, secondly in either a padded envelope or a cardboard box, and finally in thick parcel paper.

For UK mainland - all items above a fairly modest value I will send via either signed for Royal Mail and/or courier options whichever is the best, this being largely dependent on the weight of the object.

I am more than happy to post overseas on the basis that all items will be posted by Airmail with a signature required on delivery.  If you are overseas, please feel free to enquire about postage charges ahead of registering a bid if you are unsure of the cost I may have outlined above, where costs may be prohibitive depending upon where you are in the world and the weight of the item, many thanks.

Feedback – I will be delighted to provide feedback for a winning bidder once they have done so first to ensure that the item has arrived safely.  In the event a winning bidder has any queries around a product following receipt, I would be pleased to deal with any queries via my business mail address or the Ebay message function in an effort to resolve matters ahead of any mutual feedback being provided, thanks.

Many thanks for looking at my items and good luck with any bids you make.

I will be regularly listing items for sale, please save me as one of your favourite sellers for the future, thanks.
