Presenting a wonderful vintage IIttala Finland signed Minerva vase designed by Tapio Wirkkala.
This vase designed by Tapio Wirkkala holds true to his famous designs.
Textured ice like qualities have been used from his inspiration from the glaciers and melting ice from various spots with his most favourite being the deep middle woodlands of Finland almost only accesible by helicopter.
This vase with the clear and textured design contrast amazingly and exudes an air of his mid century genius designs..
This vase is signed by him with the initials T.W to its base as pictured
The glass has a superb ice like quality and sparkle, a trait that we have come to expect of almost all top quality Scandinavian glass.
This vase would make an amazing addition to any IIttala, Scandinavian or Tapio Wirkkala collection.
This vase measures 10cm in diameter at its opening and stands 17cm tall.
Presented in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
There are little if any signs of use and the glass remains bright and sparkling.
It displays wonderfully!!!
