Vintage ULTRA RARE Misfits t shirt

I bought this shirt from a guy on the street after seeing the Misfits (Jerry/Doyle/Graves/Chudd lineup) and GWAR at the Palace in Hollywood. Famous Monsters tour.

The year was 1999. The guy who sold it to me was apparently embedded in the L.A. rock scene since the 70s and regaled me and my two friends with anecdotes about Lemmy and Ozzy’s hijinx at the Rainbow Bar.

I remember the dude had a small box with more shirts, I think they were all the same. They smelled like melted crayons, having very clearly been freshly screened. I’ve not seen another shirt like it since.

Fits like a Large. Tag says “one size fits most”

The tag was cut in half when I bought it.

I’ve tried to track down the origin of the shirt, or to at least find another one like it, to no avail. I know the tag says WWE Hardcore Collection, and I know the Misfits did some things with Vampiro the wrestler for a short while. I haven’t seen any pictures of him wearing this as a walkout t shirt or anything like that. So the WWE thing could be a legit connection, or it could be a red herring.

It’s been very lightly used. Honestly I’ve worn it less than 10 times in all the years I’ve owned it, so it’s in very good condition.
