Hood has been used, I don't see any cracks or dents, or anything damaged in any way. It looks very nice, it is very clean. This lens hood is fully operational and functions as intended.  I would rate it an 8, on a scale from 1 to 10.    

 

Hood is single threaded (it lacks threads in the front). It is made of plastic.
