Eine japanische gegossene Bronzevase,

der Korpus in ovoider Form, sich verjüngend zu Boden und Hals,

flankiert an der Schulter mit zwei Tiermasken- und -zungengriffen,

der Körper gegossen in tiefem Relief mit "kacho-e" (Vogel- und Blumen) Tafeln,

das Ganze ruht auf einem abnehmbaren Dreibein,

auf der Unterseite markiert mit "Sonan".

English Description:

A Japanese cast bronze vase,

the body of ovoid form tapering to the base and neck,

applied to the shoulder with two animal mask- and- tongue handles,

the body cast in deep relief with "kacho-e" (bird- and- flower) panels,

the whole resting on detachable tripod support,

marked to the bottom "Sonan".
