Bell & Spurling are an English comedy music duo (Martin Bell & Johnny Spurling), best known for hit singles Sven, Sven, Sven (which hit #7 on the UK Singles Chart) & Goldenballs (which hit #25). Single Sven, Sven, Sven was inspired by the England football team's 5-1 victory against Germany & contains recordings of Jonathan Pearce's commentary from that match. It mentions a # of contemporary English & German footballing figures & events, most notably Sven-Göran Eriksson, to whom the song title & refrain refer.
