Q: Is it normal for adapter to make noise?

A: From an engineer’s point of view, all electronics have the capacity to create noise. The AC adapter are so called "switching regulators". They use a high frequency signal(usually 20-100khz) to convert voltages. The frequency is usually not audible(humans can hear sounds up to 16khz).
