This is a hand made, hand painted relatively vase made of red clay and painted in beautiful colors. The walls are quite thick. I think it is from the 1980s or earlier. This piece is from the city of Safi, Morocco, which is known for its fine ceramics.

BACKGROUND: I purchased a number of pieces (figurines, glassware, etc.) from a neighbor who moved to assisted living and had to leave a house full of nice things behind. I'll be listing more over the next few weeks. She remembered that she'd gotten it on a vacation but didn't remember exactly when.
CONDITION: This item is in good to very good condition with no cracks or chips. As is to be expected in a hand thrown and hand painted pottery piece, there are a few small bits of extra bits of extra clay on the surface as well as a few very minor paint flaws.
