The TLA7012 Portable mainframe is a modular mainframe that accepts TLA logic analyzer and pattern generator modules. The TLA7012 can be configured as either master or as an expansion mainframe, to provide solutions for large numbers of buses and high channel-count requirements.
The TLA7012 Portable Mainframe offers a familiar work environment for the TLA application software. It features a 15in display with Touch Panel. It also provides multiple display capability for extended desktop viewing, in addition to an internal DVD-RW, hard drive, and multiple USB ports for expansion. A replaceable hard drive is standard, ideal for security or enabling individual team members to store personal setups and data. Trigger in/out connections provide an interface to other external instrumentation, such as Tektronix oscilloscopes, for correlating measurement results.
Applications:
- MIPI protocol analysis
- DDR2 and DDR3 debug and verification
- Signal integrity
- PCI Express debug from Protocol layer to Physical layer
- Silicon validation
- Computer system validation
- Embedded system debug and validation
- Processor/Bus debug and verification
- Embedded software integration, debug, and verification
The TLA7AA4 module offers 136 Channel Logic, with up to 256 Mb Depth,500 ps (2 GHz)/32 Mb Deep Memory Timing Analysis, and the MagniVu™ Acquisition Technology, which provides up to 125 ps (8 GHz) timing resolution.
The PG3A module from The Moving Pixel Company is the true highlight of this kit!
Costing over £13.000 when new, the PG3A Digital Pattern Generator is a general purpose and powerful tool for both engineering and production. The pattern generator can be used for peripheral/ASIC emulation and stimulation, setup/hold verification, production test, small-scale ATE, and general digital stimulus. When coupled with a Tektronix Logic Analyzer and/or a Tektronix Digital Oscilloscope, a complete test system is realized. It is also a great tool for FPGA development!
It features:
- 64 channels (merge-able to 256 channels), 300 MHz all channels, 32 MVectors, +/- 200pS (typ) data skew
- Wide range, fine time delay adjustment for each 8 bit group (20pS steps)
- Supports both flat and block-based data models (~4000 blocks)
- Interactive GUI-to-module interface via USB 2.0 for setup and firmware update
- Inputs probe for clock and events input – independent of output probe voltage standard
- Small, quiet, cool, color-coded probes
- Firmware is user-updatable to support field feature and other upgrades
- External (user clock) supports gated clocks
- Inputs: 8 external events, 1 trigger, external 10 MHz reference, 8 byte lane inhibits.
- Additional outputs: 4 clocks and 4 configurable strobes (one each per output probe)
- All functions, all pins simultaneously (clocks, strobes, inhibits, data)
Condition: Used, but in almost perfect condition. Only two minor issues: the touch panel has a small bare patch, not affecting functionality; and one of the knobs is cracked and missing a bit. See pictures for details.
The unit powers up, and the main application launches without a problem. The instrument passes all the internal tests (see pictures).
Please note that the unit has not been tested beyond this point, as I haven't got any probes, nor the knowledge of how to test it thoroughly. Therefore, no guarantees are offered on fuctionality or accuracy. The item is not calibrated.
No probes, accesories, cables, manuals or software are supplied with the unit (but manuals are easy to find in the Internet for free). What you see is what you will get!
The unit is very heavy, about 21Kg; it may take more than 3 days to arrange a delivery, so please be patient.
Please email me if you have any questions!
I am open to international purchase, but you will have to pay for the courier. I would, however, pack the item properly. No returns accepted.
