Although European shoe sizes are unisex, US shoe sizes are not. When translating Euro shoe sizes into US ones, there's a bit of a differential between men's and women's sizes. Roughly, subtract 31 from the women's EU size to arrive at your US size. Men's shoe sizes roughly subtract 33. Because this is an approximation, US half-sizes can often be considered approximately a complete EU full size number within the given number.
