AFTER THE APOCALYPSE IT'S YOU VERSUS THE ZOMBIES

WHAT YOU DO YOU DO WHEN THE APOCALYPSE ARRIVES and you find yourself among the last kids on the planet?   If you are 13-year-old Jack Sullivan, you hole up in your tree house, arm yourself with a catapult to fight off zombies, dig a moat and stack up a supply of Oreos and Mountain Dew.  You also build up a team of school pals to fight off zombies and monsters. 

That is the thrust of this wonderfully successful series of books for young readers - The Last Kids on Earth - that sounds like a horror story worthy of Poe but is actually told by Max Ballier and illustrated by Douglas Holgate with humor and a sense of fun.  Hey! - dealing with zombies can be blast!  There are currently eight books in the series as well as audio books and a TV series.

MACKIE BOOKS IS OFFERING A SET OF FOUR OF THE BOOKS, including the first one to appear.   We are selling them together to help young readers build up their libraries.  They are aimed at teens and pre-teens at the middle school level and have appeared on the bestsellers list of at least major newspapers.
