An intricate relief pattern of a grapevine decorates the outside of the pitcher. Two people seated at a table is sculpted on the front. It is signed on the base (photo 9). Similar pieces sold at other auctions date this pitcher to the 1850s from Normandy, France. 

Approx. Dimensions: 11 inches tall; 6 inches wide (at widest point). It weighs 3.3 pounds alone. 

Condition: Very good. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The inside of the pitcher is a bit dusty. I never clean older antiques, and leave the decision to the new owner. The inside of the spout has a patch of light discoloration (photo 6).
