1838 50c Capped Bust Great Britain US Silver Half Dollar Almost Uncirculated $ .50
This year's half dollar production was similar to that of the preceding year, but it
was still somewhat lower than in the disappearing years of lettered edge coinage.
It may have been that the "Hard Times" of 1837-41 reduced the demand for additional
coins. Almost Uncirculated. Obverse: Features the profile of Lady Liberty. Reverse: Depicts
an eagle with a shield on its chest holding an olive branch and a cluster of arrows.
Fineness: .900 Fine Silver, Weight: 13.20 Grams, Diameter: 30 mm. The coin imaged is the coin you're bidding on. 30 day returns accepted. |
